Just a Thought . . .By Roland Tonn If the ASLA can get a 1999 commemorative U.S. stamp approved honoring Frederick Law Olmsted (See LAND - Landscape Architects News Digest, January 1999), can AICP's WTPD Taskforce lead the way for a stamp honoring the planning profession? Any takers for designing a 3-cent commemorative stamp? And then contacting the U.S. Postal Service and serving as the AICP Commission's contact person with the U.S. Postal Service's Citizens' Stamp Advisory Committee? The Post Office will print 40,000,000, (that's right 40 million), stamps. Now there's some exposure. |
