The City of Ramsey (MN) is seeking a Community
Development Director to work in its dynamic, growing community of 22,000
residents.
The primary objective of the Community Development
Director position is to develop, manage and evaluate community development
programs, which include planning; subdivision and site plan review;
redevelopment; housing; building plan review & inspections; economic
development; and environmental services. Essential duties of the Community
Development Director include supervising the work and performance of all
Community Development Department staff; developing the department work plan;
preparing and monitoring the annual budget; providing professional planning
and development advice to elected and appointed officials, City staff,
citizens and developers; and overseeing the development, implementation and
revision of the City’s Comprehensive Plan.
Minimum qualifications for the Community Development
Director position include: a Bachelor’s Degree in a closely related field;
five years of progressively responsible community development experience;
two years of supervisory experience and a Minnesota driver’s license. A
Master’s Degree and community development or planning experience are
preferred.
The 2007 hiring range
for this position is $73,939 -- $81,333, DOQ. To
