Intern

The City of Greenfield is seeking to fill a Planning
Intern position. The position consists of a flexible work schedule of
approximately 10 hours per week (i.e. 500 hours budgeted annually) during
our normal 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. day. The salary is $12.00 per hour with no
fringe benefits. The basic duties are as follows:
 | Assist in the preparation of staff notes and
information packets for monthly Planning Commission meetings. |
 | Assist in the process of updating the Land Use
Master Plan. The contract with a planning consulting firm (Vandewalle
& Assoc.) was approved in 2006 and this project is anticipated to
continue into the Fall, 2008. |
 | Assist with other miscellaneous duties, prepare
specialized projects, attend meetings, undertake research/analysis
efforts, etc., all related to the Planning & Economic Development
Division operations. This “Division” is part of the City’s “Dept. of
Neighborhood Services” which also includes Engineering, Building
Inspection, and Public Works. Working with and exposure to other City
departments/divisions, is a regular work element. |
