The City of Oshkosh (pop. 66,000) is accepting applications for a Principal Planner. This is a senior level planning position responsible for various planning projects of the division with a focus on housing and neighborhood related programming. Responsibilities also include administering the annual Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and other division grants as needed. Gives direction to citizens and developers relative to zoning, land use, and site plan questions. Administers various housing and neighborhood-related programs, including Fair Housing activity.  Assists with current planning, historic preservation, sustainability, economic development and the implementation of the Comprehensive Plan. This position requires a broad range of knowledge and experience in the planning field with a Master’s degree in urban planning or related field, at least 3-5 years practical experience urban or regional, and a valid WI Drivers License. Current salary range is 58,111 to 74,718 plus excellent benefits.
