The Association of Central Oklahoma Governments, the
Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for Oklahoma City area Regional
Transportation Study (OCARTS) area seeks a highly motivated, skilled,
self-starting professional to work as the Program Coordinator- Long Range
Transportation Planning in the Transportation Planning and Data Services (TPDS)
Division. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to perform
a broad range of transportation tasks including coordination of the regional
long range transportation plan updates, implementation of the region’s
Congestion Management Process (CMP), as well as data collection and
development.
The position requires excellent analytical,
communication and problem-solving abilities. A comprehensive understanding
of SAFETEA-LU metropolitan planning requirements, as well as working
knowledge of computer based GIS and travel demand forecasting software is
desirable.
The position requires a master’s degree in
urban/regional planning, civil engineering, geography or related field with
a minimum of three years experience preferably in transportation planning.
Specialized experience, skill, or interdisciplinary training may substitute
for specific degree or experience requirement.
