The City of Brookfield is seeking candidates for the position of Economic Development Coordinator.  This position is responsible for working with businesses, organizations, and other governmental agencies to promote and enhance Brookfield's business community and City neighborhoods containing businesses.  Successful applicants must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Economic Development; Community Development; or, Urban Planning with an emphasis in Economic Development.  At least one (1) year of experience in planning, with an emphasis in economic or community development, preferably in the public sector.  Master's Degree in Economic Development, Community Development or Urban Planning preferred.  Equivalent combinations of training and experience may also be considered.  Salary range $47,807.76-$65,974.48 DOQ with excellent fringe benefits.  Detailed information and application materials regarding this position are available on our website www.ci.brookfield.wi.us.  Qualified candidates must submit application materials by Friday, March 26, 2010 to:
