WAPA Scholarships Available for Public Participation Training:

IAP2 Training Offered

Madison, October 24-25

Eau Claire, December 13-14

Madison, January 10-11

Through a grant from APA/AICP, WAPA is offering $100 scholarships to any WAPA member seeking to take the “Planning for Effective Public Participation” course offered by the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) in  this coming October, December or January.

This course is an excellent next step for planners who want to increase their public participation skills beyond “what we should have learned in school.”  In addition, the course is the first in a set of three courses leading to certification by IAP2.

The “Planning for Effective Public Participation” course is a two-day course and costs $550.  WAPA will reimburse up to ten members $100 toward the registration.  Because space is limited, the scholarship will be awarded only to the first ten WAPA members registering for the course (and completing it satisfactorily, of course.)

For more information:

To register for either of these courses, go to the IAP2 Calendar of Events at:

http://www.iap2.org/calendar.cfm

For more information about IAP2 certification, go to:

http://www.iap2.org/associations/4748/files/IAP2TrainFactSheets.pdf

For an application form, download the form and instructions.

Return the form, along with the signature of your instructor verifying successful completion of the course, to:
